BOARD MEETING MINUTES

November 5, 2008

Weber County Library

Meeting began at 6:00 p.m. - Ray Gibbons Conducted the Meeting.

Members Present:

Old Business:  Marilyn read the September 23, 2008 Board Meeting Minutes and they were approved as read.

New Business / Agenda:

1.  NOVEMBER GENERAL MEETING AGENDA

Agenda to include:

        - Old Business:  Reading of August 21, 2008 General Meeting Minutes

        - Update and overview on Springs, Water

        - Public Road Update

        - Miscellaneous New Business

        - Nominations and Voting

2.  COMMITTEE TO ADDRESS MAPS /  ROAD HISTORIES

Ray addressed forming a committee to research old maps regarding roads – must be certified. Maps must go back in history as far as possible.  Preferably survey maps, Forest Service Maps, etc.  Research recorded deeds also.

Board members Chris Roby and Bob Wallis agreed to participate, time permitting and recognized this must be done as soon as possible. 

Ray and Board members addressed meeting with Mr. Cobabe regarding the roads prior to the 1960s.  Discussed the possibility of video-taping, and if not possible, at least a voice recording of the meeting.

3.  MISCELLANEOUS

Ray was contacted by a SCRA member who is interested in the old grader blade that went on the Austin-Westin Grader.  Asked if the Association would be interested in selling it.

The Board members discussed a fair market value, estimated on worth.  Will post on the SCRA Web Page offering to sell, and also on KSL.com if necessary.  Will accept highest bid.

        - Blair Leird asked to be excused at 7:50 p.m., permission granted.

Board discussed the road issues in general.

Ray Gibbons made the motion to adjourn, Bob Wallis seconded. - Meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
