The meeting
began at 6:05pm with comments from Tony Fox. When he was up over the
weekend, he saw about 35 vehicles – only 3 of those displayed SCRA
stickers. He wants to know what the rules are – security wise, this is an
issue. The board member’s stated this is the property owner’s
responsibility – they stated maybe more newsletters/reminders stating the
importance of displaying stickers and visitor passes would be advantageous.
Tony asked that we put a sign on the front gate from Security about
protecting their rights and property – after some discussion, this is what
will be on the sign:
“HELP US HELP
YOU PROTECT YOUR PROPERTY. DISPLAY YOUR CURRENT SCRA STICKER OR VISITOR
PASS ON YOUR VEHICLES AT ALL TIMES. SIGNED, SCRA SECURITY
Bonnie Love will
get the sign printed and Ken Love will make sure it gets hung on the front
gate.
Doug Stewart
brought up the issue of finding “stashed” keys. He says the property owner
should be charged to get them back. Property owner’s need to know that keys
left “hidden” for other’s will be confiscated and a charge of $150.00 to the
key fund to have them returned.
The “road
grading” map was brought up. Max Eddy called Cache County to find out what
their preference was. They said grading the original road. Sawmill Loop is
the last road that crosses Max’s property and Mike Olsen wants us to grade
the “illegal” portion. Monte said we will do the main roads every year and
for firebreaks do the other roads every 2 or 3 years. Bonnie Love suggested
we make some basic rules for grading roads. Randy Rochell said we need to
make sure that the grader operator posts his signs when grading “machinery
ahead”, etc. which will protect SCRA.
Derek Hunwick
had several agenda items: 1) Karras’s son is locking his farm faucet now; 2)
the board needs to consider Ron Hill’s private water line from Twin Ponds –
Derek will lock it if Ron doesn’t keep it locked; 3) Derek wanted to know
who was responsible for the grant improvements discussed during Ray Gibbon’s
term of office – Ken Love stated he went with Ray and Jim Spencer to the
classes on getting the money credit – but in all actuality there is no money
or credit for SCRA; 4) Derek wanted to know why a board member continued
being on the board when he never comes to meetings – shouldn’t the President
ask the board member if they would like to be released? 5)Derek wanted to
know about the “beneficial water use” extension of five years. 6) Derek
proposed that the board hook up a farm faucet for the water to go “over the
hill” from the lower spring. 7) And finally wanted to state that the SCRA
board approved his (Derek’s) water hookup in 1995 and Ken Love was a member
of the board at that time. Ken caused his first tank to bust and Derek had
to replace it and if Ken still has an issue he can take it up with Cache
County.
A motion to
adjourn the meeting was made by Monte Matue and seconded by Tony Fox. The
meeting was adjourned at 6:59pm.
