SCRA NEWS
FROM THE PRESIDENT - NOVEMBER 2008
Communication is
essential to the well-being of our Association, and through your
requests, we have had many updates posted on our Web Page.
In order to stay in compliance with the
State water requirements on our water extensions, the Board agreed to
put our efforts towards the water system. We installed two new
collectors, one in Lower Spring and one at Indian Spring. We also
installed two 3,000 gallon water tanks, one at Lower Spring and one at
Indian Spring. New larger meters have been installed at Lower, Indian
and Main Springs. 700 feet of new water line and 2 new hydrants have
also been installed; three fire fittings have been installed to comply
with State fire. We are submitting this to the Community Fire Plan. I
want to thank all the people that helped with the water system for their
time and efforts—it was a really big job and couldn’t have been done
without a team effort. On October 26, 2008, both water tanks were
full. We feel that this was a much needed improvement.
We are currently addressing the road
issue; we were informed that if feasible we will be scheduling a meeting
with Cache County by the end of the year.
Keys are still available from Doug
Stuart. 801-721-4421. We appreciate the cooperation from S.C.R.A.
members on the key exchange.
I want to thank the Board Members for
their time spent on their duties this year. I know that there has been
a lot of time spent away from their families and their work. They have
benefited the Association with their involvement and I can’t thank them
enough.
I also want to thank Ron Hill, for his
time and efforts at the gate and for his help and policing the area.
All in all it has been a great summer,
and with the wonderful weather and good friends, an enjoyable one. Take
care and we’ll see you all at the November General Meeting.
