SCRA NEWS FROM THE PRESIDENT - NOVEMBER 2011
It has been a very busy year with all the legal issues and the Ruby pipeline project. I want to thank the board members for their support and help over the past year.
Since the water problem has been resolved at the lower spring, ample water has been available all year.
The road issue will not be resolved until spring as we have had three road construction companies review the situation and are currently working with Ruby Pipeline for bids on the repair and restoration of the roads.
We have constructed a new entrance archway to Scare Canyon. We are now using a single lock which is the SCRA owned lock. I want to thank Kirt Nelson of RKN Construction and Brent Daily of Red Dog Machining inc. for all of their hard work on the entrance way. Further construction of the entry will consist of stone work at the gate and extension of the 8” piping 40 feet each way of the entrance.
I would like to thank the membership for their support during all of these projects.
This will be my last Presidents letter as acting President and I want to personally thank you all for your cooperation and understanding during the past 4 years.
My tenure with the SCRA board has spanned 17 years and has, for the most part, been very enjoyable and productive. I have seen many changes in SCRA during this time and I can say, without a doubt, that the members of this great association are the reason why it has been so successful.
Respectfylly,
Ray Gibbons, President
